Mission Statement

We at Allendale C.C.S.D. #17 consider as our mission the development of the entire child.  By striving to provide for the academic, emotional, social, psychological, physical, and special needs, we believe that we are equipping our students with the basic skills and self-esteem needed to achieve their highest potential as adult citizens.  Furthermore, it is our objective to instill in our students the desire to be the best they can be and to be lifelong citizens.  Furthermore, it is our objective to instill in our students the desire to be the best they can be and to be lifelong learners.  All Allendale District #17 eighth grade students should reach a mastery level of skill development in reading, writing, language arts, math, science, social science, physical development, health, and computer technology.  They should also acquire an awareness of available careers, an appreciation of the arts, and physical skills that will continue into adulthood.

Our school should provide a safe environment, encourage high standards, and recognize individual success of students and reward positive achievement.  We seek to develop self-direction, self-reliance, and self-discipline.  As a community school, we encourage involvement by community groups and individuals willing to share their strengths, skills, talents and efforts in a united vision for Allendale students.
